Good day! My name is David
I love helping people. Change is tough but having someone there beside you, providing support and guidance can make a big difference that is why I am proud to be a part of Calderas Counseling.
I spent over 21 years working in the oil and gas industry for a company in the top quartile of the Fortune 500. I had the opportunity to meet and work with top executives on projects that were strategic to the company’s future. I was mentored for many years by an amazing executive who selflessly shared his knowledge and experience with me, teaching me the value of coaching. I learned a great deal of information and met a lot of influential people in a much shorter period of time with his help.
I’ve coached many individuals across a variety of topics including academics, financial responsibility, career, and work & life balance to name a few. For the last 6 years I have had the privilege to be part of a rewarding program with the University of Texas as a member of the Longhorn Engineering Advisory Delegation (LEAD). Our aim, working with the Dean, was to improve the lives of students attending the college of Engineering. To meet this end, we met with countless students, faculty and administrators; we developed programs to address specific issues, among which was a mentorship and coaching program.
I grew up in Spring, Texas, attending Klein High School. I went on to get a Bachelors of Science in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. I worked as an engineer, software development and technical support, and as a project manager. I continue my education by taking online courses and attending seminars and conferences to be able to provide transformational coaching to my clients.
I look forward to helping you.
